Your baby’s safety, and yours, is the foundation of everything we do. From your very first scan to the moment you hold your baby, you will be guided through each stage of your pregnancy with clarity, reassurance, and continuity of care; so you always know what to expect and why.
Your care is led personally by Dr Kenneth Wong, who brings over 30 years of clinical experience and more than 1,000 deliveries across Singapore’s leading hospitals.

The Delivery — what sets it apart
Dr Wong personally delivers your baby at your chosen private hospital.
For caesarean deliveries
Dr Wong has been trained and mentored in Paris in The French ambulatory caesarean section technique (FAUCS), which incorporates
- Surgical approaches to reduce post-operative pain and discomfort
- the extraperitoneal delivery approach
- the gentle birthing technique
- a faster return to normal activity and mobility
For vaginal deliveries
VBAC
Vaginal Birth After Caesarean (VBAC) in Singapore
VBAC is a clinically viable alternative to repeat caesarean section for carefully selected patients. When appropriate, it avoids major abdominal surgery, supports faster recovery, and reduces surgical risk in future pregnancies.
Suitability is determined by individual assessment and not general preference.

Am I a Candidate for VBAC?
Dr Wong will assess your suitability based on:
- Type and location of your previous uterine incision
- Number of previous caesarean sections
- Reason your previous caesarean was performed
- Baby’s size, position, and how labour begins in the current pregnancy
Not every patient will qualify. You will receive an honest, individualised assessment.
How VBAC Labour Is Managed
Approved VBAC candidates are managed with close vigilance throughout labour:
- Continuous electronic fetal monitoring
- High suspicion index for uterine scar stress or fetal distress
- Low threshold for conversion to emergency caesarean if needed
The goal is the safest outcome — not vaginal delivery at any cost.
Delivering at a Private Hospital
Dr Wong is personally present and immediately available throughout your labour. Anaesthetic and theatre teams at your chosen hospital are on standby. If an emergency caesarean becomes necessary, the response is immediate and not dependent on a shared on-call roster.

Managing Higher-Risk Pregnancies
Gestational diabetes is co-managed with an endocrinologist to ensure:
- Precise sugar control via diet and/or medication
- Growth monitoring for excessive fetal growth
- Close monitoring of fetal well-being
- Appropriate mode and timing of delivery
Hypertensive disorders and pre-eclampsia are managed with maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) involvement where clinically indicated:
- Screening for high risk cases and prevention with medication
- Precise blood pressure control with appropriate medication
- Close monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function
- Blood investigations to ensure maternal well-being and organ function
- Growth monitoring for suboptimal fetal growth
- Advanced ultrasound doppler for measuring placental function
- Close monitoring of fetal well-being
- Appropriate mode and timing of delivery
Multiple pregnancies receive MFM co-management antenatally, with Dr Wong delivering:
- Specialised dual fetal growth and well-being monitoring
- Close surveillance for maternal complications
- Close liaison with paediatrians / neonatologists
- Appropriate mode and timing of delivery
Fetal anomalies identified on scanning are counselled by a specialized team comprising:
- MFM
- paediatric surgery
- neonatology
Pregnancies complicated by serious medical conditions such as significant cardiac or renal disease are referred to the appropriate institutional setting, with Dr Wong coordinating the transition of care.
Whatever the complexity, you will have one doctor who knows your history, leads your care, and is with you at delivery.

What Our Patients Say
Read testimonials from our valued patients who have experienced exceptional care at The OBGYN Centre.
Dear Dr. Kenneth Wong,
Thank you very much for helping us with the requirements for my insurance. I truly appreciate the time and care you took to explain everything about my pregnancy in such a clear and detailed way.
It was wonderful meeting such an experienced and knowledgeable doctor. Your calm and kind approach made us feel very comfortable during the consultation. We also appreciated how you took the time to ask about our situation and listen carefully to our concerns.
Thank you again for your patience, professionalism, and support. It really means a lot to us.

We had another very positive experience at the OBGYN clinic for the delivery of our second baby.
This pregnancy and delivery went smoothly, and Dr Wong guided us through the process with patience and reassurance.
The nurses at the clinic are also warm and friendly, and they always make our visits pleasant.
My husband and I are very thankful for the care and support from Dr Wong.

While traveling, I required an urgent consultation. The clinic was very swift and accommodating with the request and handled the visit with outmost respect and professionalism. Dr. Kenneth Wong was extremely professional, reassuring and patiently answered all my questions both during the visit with two subsequent follow up calls. I would highly recommend.

Pregnancy and delivery went really smoothly under the care of Dr Kenneth Wong. We are grateful to have him guiding us through this journey, since as first timers we are very clueless. He is very direct and knows what we want really well. He replies to emails promptly and clearly, so I wasn’t as worried and anxious throughout the pregnancy, since I knew help is always there.
Not forgetting the nurses at his clinic are both very friendly and helpful!

I had a great experience with Dr Wong for both of my pregnancies and deliveries. I appreciated the minimal waiting time and efficient appointments. Consultations were calm and to-the-point (I was lucky to have straight forward, smooth pregnancies). Both of my C-sections healed well, with my most recent scar barely visible. I would highly recommend him, especially for C-section mummies who want a neat, well-healed scar. The two front nurse staff are also always warm and welcoming!
Thank you Dr Wong and team 🙂

Had my first baby with Dr Kenneth Wong and his team about 1.5mths ago. The entire experience was great, fuss free and attentive at all the right moments. Would go back again for my 2nd baby when the time comes.

I had both my babies under Dr Kenneth’s care and can honestly say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. His expertise and calm assurance made me feel incredibly well looked after throughout. The clinic team, especially Joanne and Fazi, are exceptional, welcoming, organised, and always kind.
Dr Kenneth responds to emails in record time, provides referrals and memos at a moment’s notice, and runs his clinic with real respect for his patients’ time, there’s never been a wait because he doesn’t overbook, which is so rare in Singapore. I couldn’t recommend The OBGYN Centre more highly.

Both my kids were born under Dr.Wong’s care. He is an excellent doctor, doesnot hype things, very cool disposition and gives excellent and clear next steps for managing conditions. He is our Gynae but almost become like our family doctor as we reach out to him for advice/guidance for other medical conditions or doctor recommendations. Highly recommend Dr.Kenneth Wong.

Dr. Kenneth Wong is the kind of doctor you can trust completely. He is professional, calm, and truly cares. He made my first pregnancy journey a positive experience, and I would choose him again without any doubt. Highly recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I first see an OBGYN after a positive pregnancy test?
You should see an OBGYN between 6 and 8 weeks of pregnancy for confirmation of a viable intrauterine pregnancy by ultrasound, establishment of your estimated due date, and first-trimester genetic screening for chromosomal conditions such as Down syndrome.
What is the difference between a private OBGYN and a public hospital in Singapore?
At a private OBGYN clinic, you are seen by the same named specialist at every single visit — not a rotating roster of doctors. Waiting times are shorter, appointments are flexible, care is fully personalised, and you have direct 24-hour access to your doctor throughout pregnancy. You also have a free choice of delivery hospital.
Are there advances in caesarean sections to make it less painful?
Why does the quality of episiotomy repair matter?
Which hospitals does Dr Kenneth Wong deliver at?
Can I use Medisave for pregnancy and delivery costs?
Yes. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can use Medisave for both pre-delivery and delivery expenses under the Medisave Maternity Package (MMP), which applies to deliveries at private hospitals including those where Dr Wong holds privileges.
•Pre-delivery expenses including antenatal consultations, ultrasound scans, blood tests, and medications : up to $900 in total.
These are claimed after delivery by submitting your pre-delivery bills to the hospital where you delivered.
•Delivery expenses (effective 1 April 2025) are:
Normal vaginal delivery: up to $1,120
Caesarean section: up to $2,770
•Daily hospitalisation charges :
up to $1,130 per day for the first two days of admission
$400 per day thereafter.
Private hospital delivery costs typically exceed Medisave withdrawal limits, and the balance will be payable by cash or through an applicable integrated shield plan. Our staff will walk you through the full cost and funding picture prior to delivery booking.
Does Dr Wong support natural birth and pain-free labour?
Yes. Dr Wong supports the full spectrum of birth choices — natural drug-free delivery, epidural pain-free labour, planned caesarean, and VBAC — guided by each patient’s clinical circumstances and personal preference.
Can I bank my baby's cord blood?
Yes. Cord blood collection can be coordinated as part of your delivery at any of Dr Wong’s affiliated private hospitals. Cord blood collected at birth contains haematopoietic stem cells with established clinical applications in stem cell transplantation, principally for certain blood cancers and serious blood disorders
Several licensed private cord blood banks operate in Singapore. We do not have a preferred provider arrangement; the choice is yours. We would encourage you to confirm that any provider holds a current MOH licence and recognised international accreditation before committing.
